Creative Brunch at Friends of Ours
Friends of Ours is another brunch place on Pitfield street that is totally worth going! I discovered this coffeeshop over summer, while looking for a nice working space to write my dissertation.
Incredible food and fresh coffee
I love everything on their menu, which makes choices always so difficult. I usually go for a matcha latte with oat milk, but on that day, I just wanted a simple Café latte with oat milk while my friend Clara got her usual hot chocolate.
We ended up having Pork Belly Benedict and Mushrooms on Toast. Both were inventive and fabulous! I particularly liked the praline crumb they added on the bacon and pesto sauce with mushrooms. Besides, toasts sometimes can be very difficult to cut, but those ones were not only fine, but also tasty.
We couldn’t help ourselves but ordered a Brioche French Toast to share. The caramelised banana and honeycomb pieces went amazingly well with the Crème fraiche and, of course, French toasts!
We had a great experience from start to finish. The staff was very friendly and the place lovely and bright. Basically, they have everything I needed to become a regular customer!
