Granger & Co, travelers’ breakfast spot in London

Granger & Co, travelers’ breakfast spot in London

Whether I just get off the  Eurostar or have an early train to take, Granger & Co is my go-to place! There is one at King’s Cross, the perfect spot for travelers!

Apparently, according to my Uber driver, the area of King’s Cross and St Pancras International is nothing like it was 5 years ago. It has now become such a lively place, with restaurants and offices all around both stations.

I love the large windows of the restaurant, which make the place very bright and perfect for photography! Since my neighbour Kristine and I wanted something salty and sweet to start the day, we decided to share their amazing ricotta hotcakes and their Fresh Aussie breakfast.

The hotcakes were one of the best I have ever had in London! They were fluffy and light, so not the kind of heavy ones you’d have a hard time to finish. They were served with banana and honeycomb butter. Then their Fresh Aussi, their signature dish, came with avocado, hot smoked salmon, cherry tomatoes, kale and poached eggs. It was the best combination!

As for drinks, we had chamomile tea and their cow-like hot chocolate. The ‘dots’ were actually melted chocolate, for those wondering.

Breaky at 8 am, anyone?

You know those habits that you’ve developed or ‘things’ that you do only with a specific person or group of people… Well, with Kristine, it’s breakfast!

As we tried to have a ‘healthy lifestyle’, we would push each other to get up at 6.30am (with… morning calls) and have breakfast together. It’s basically the same idea as having a sports buddy! I found this pretty efficient because, before going to bed, I’d think of what I’ll have for breakfast and it’s very yumm… I mean, motivating!
