お久しぶりのラーメん ~ Ramen, it’s Been So Long

お久しぶりのラーメん ~ Ramen, it’s Been So Long

I am usually very picky with Japanese food, and I became even pickier after living in Japan for a couple of years. Since a great ramen spot is not easy to find in Paris, I almost lost hope when I moved to London.

One day, my Japanese friend and I were talking about how much we missed Japanese food and she told me that her favorite dish was ramen. So I thought it could be great to have ramen together!

Our first ramen experience in London

We did some research and chose Kanada-ya for our first ramen experience in London. Once we got there, we both ordered the original ramen. Then, the waiter asked us how we wanted our noodles to be cooked, from very soft to very hard, and we both liked ours hard. Surpsingly, the taste reminded me very much of one of my favorite places in Tokyo, Ichiran (一蘭). So for a moment, I really felt like I was back in Japan. This was totally worth the queue.
